July 29 – August 3, 2016 Incidents

Threats

A 44 year old male was charged with breaching his bail conditions and threatening his common law.  He was held for a bail hearing.

 

Mischief

On July 30 at 5:32am, a 31 year old male, was observed by staff at the Brockville General Hospital, damaging hospital property.  He was throwing a skid against the hospital and trying to pry open doors with pieces of wood.  He was also fighting imaginary people in the area.  He was arrested, held till sober and charged with mischief.

 

Bail Violations

On the 30th of July 2016 at 7:00 pm, a 44 year old male was arrested and held for bail for breaching his bail conditions by consuming alcohol.  Police were called to the area of Laurier Blvd. in regards to a fight.  The male had been involved in an altercation and investigation revealed that he was on a previous release condition not to consume alcohol.  He was arrested and held for bail.

 

Bail Violations

A 35 year male was arrested on the 30 of July 2016, for failing to report as required per his release conditions.  The male was released with a future court date.

 

Bail Violations and Mischief

On July 30th 2016, at approximately 10:00 pm, a 22 year old male was arrested and held for bail for breaching his bail conditions, 2 counts of mischief and fraud relating to taxi cabs.  Police received 3 different calls in regards to this male.  He was first observed falling down drunk out front of a licenced establishment in the downtown core.  He then proceeded to smash a windshield of a car and break a window of a local business.  The male then took a cab to City hall and failed to pay for his ride.  He was found to be in an intoxicated state, breaching his bail conditions.

 

Public Intoxication

On July 31 at 1:40 am, a 27 year old female was arrested for causing a disturbance by being drunk.  The female exited a licenced establishment and began to yell at a male.  She then turned her attention to police in the area throwing a lighter at the cruisers then her purse at a passing cab.  She was arrested and held until sober.

 

Assault

On August 1st at 1:30 pm, two bus drivers operating coaches engaged in argument over parking in front of a restaurant at the 1000 Islands Mall.   One driver punched the other.  He was charged with assault and released with a future court date.

 

Missing Person

Police are still searching for the whereabouts of Chelsea Chapman.  If anyone has any information we ask that they call the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127.

 

Mental Health Act

Police were also kept busy with several mental health calls.
