June 6 – 7, 2022 News Release

Causing a Disturbance

On June 6, 2022 at about 10:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a call of a 44-year-male on King St. W., causing a disturbance. Information was learned that the male had thrown a rock at a vehicle. It is unknown if there was any damage caused as the vehicle left the scene prior to police arrival. Officers did locate the male and found him to be intoxicated. He was arrested and held in custody until sober. He was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for being intoxicated in a public place.

 

Bail Violation

On June 6, 2022 at about 9:30PM, the Brockville Police Service located a 21-year-old male in the area of Brock St. He was known to be wanted as a result of an investigation that took place on June 3, 2022. The male was on both an undertaking and probation conditions to abstain from communicating with another individual. It was discovered that he in fact had broken those conditions. He was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing for the offences of fail to comply with undertaking and fail to comply with probation.

 

Theft

On June 6, 2022 at about 9:00PM, the Brockville Police Service located a 51-year-old male who was known to be wanted for theft. The investigation took place on June 1, 2022 where the male was identified as the one responsible for stealing about $200.00 worth of groceries from the Real Canadian SuperStore on Parkedale Ave. Officers arrested the male for theft under $5,000.00. He was later released with conditions and a new court date for the offence of theft under $5,000.00.

 

Weapons

On June 7, 2022 at about 12:30PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint about a fight involving three people in the area of King St. W. Further information was received that one of the individuals involved had pulled a knife on the other two involved. The incident was captured on video which assisted in the identification of those involved. The individual who pulled the knife was a 39-year-old male and he was arrested. He was then searched and officers located a quantity of hydromorphone. He was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, possession of hydromorphone and fail to comply with probation. No one was injured in the incident. The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.  

 

Stolen Property

On June 7, 2022 at about 2:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint regarding a suspect in possession of an E-bike in the area of the 1000 Islands Mall. Officers attended and located the suspect. The suspect was determined to be in possession of the E-bike, which was reported stolen the previous day on June 6, 2022. The E-bike was seized and the suspect was arrested. Originally, the suspect gave a false name to police. However, she was later identified to be a 36-year-old female. It was also found that she had a warrant for her arrest, issued by the Gananoque Police Service, for fail to attend court. She was charged with possession of stolen property and obstruct peace officer. She was turned over to the Gananoque Police Service for the purposes of warrant execution.
