Disturbance and Public Intoxication

On March 18, 2023 at about 2:15AM, the Brockville Police Service responded to a report of an altercation involving several individuals, in the area of Church St. and John St. As police arrived, some of the involved individuals had previously left. One 20-year-old male, who was involved in the altercation remained. He was intoxicated, agitated and unable to be reasoned with. After several failed attempts to calm the male down, he was arrested for public intoxication. This resulted in a minor physical altercation as the male resisted the arrest. Fortunately, no one was injured. He was held in custody until sober and released.

 

Domestic Dispute Leads to Threats Charges

On March 18, 2023 at about 1:00AM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint regarding a domestic dispute that had taken place previously to the report. Investigation revealed that a 37-year-old male, had made threats to cause damage to the residence and also set fire to it. The residence being at an address on Central Ave. Later that day at about 8:00PM, the male was located and arrested for the offence of uttering threats. He was charged and released with conditions and a future court date.

 

Domestic Dispute Results in Multiple Charges

On March 18, 2023 at about 8:15PM, the Brockville Police Service responded to an address on Keefer St., to a report of a domestic disturbance. Information was received from another family member in the residence. Investigation revealed that a 50-year-old male and a 49-year-old female, attended home after being out for drinks that evening. Upon arrival at home, they were engaged in a verbal argument. This altercation escalated and the female would not allow the male in the residence. This resulted in the female being pushed to the ground. The Argument then continued to escalate and the male made death threats towards a family member of the female. The female then grabbed a broom handle and assaulted the male, in response to the threats. Police arrived at the scene as the female still had the broom handle in her possession. A laptop computer was noticed to have been damaged during the altercation as well. Both were arrested for various offences. Later, they were released on conditions once both were sober. The male was charged with mischief under $5,000.00, uttering threats and assault. The female was charged with assault with a weapon. They both have been issued future court dates.

 

Loud Noise Leads to Charges

On March 19, 2023 at about 20:30PM, the Brockville Police Service responded to a complaint of loud disturbing noise at a residence in the area of Pearl St. W. Officers attended the residence and found that the home owner producing the unreasonable noise had recently been charged with mischief. The charge of mischief was as a result of disrupting the lawful enjoyment of property for others in the neighbourhood. That charge was issued after repeated attempts to rectify the situation were ignored. The male is currently on an undertaking with bail conditions to abstain from the disruption of others, regarding the production of loud noise. He was arrested and charged with failing to comply with the conditions of his undertaking. He was charged and released with a future court date.

 

Warrants

On March 19, 2023 at about 3:30AM, the Brockville Police Service responded to the report of suspicious people at the Public Library on Buell St. Officers attended and identified two subjects. One subject was a 27-year-old male, who was wanted on a bench warrant for failing to attend court. The court date missed was in relation to a charge of failing to comply with probation. The male was arrested, charged with fail to attend court and held in custody for a bail hearing.
