Over the weekend the Brockville Police Service responded to 97 calls for service which included several calls to assist with traffic as a result of the popularity of the Christmas parade.

Mental Health Apprehensions

From Friday morning until late Saturday afternoon officers conveyed 4 individuals to the Brockville General Hospital after apprehending them in crisis under the Mental Health Act.

The calls continue a recent trend of increase calls for service to the police of persons suffering from mental health and addictions issues in our community.

The Brockville Police would like to remind area residents they can call Brockville General Hospital Mental Health Crisis Line at 613-345-4600 or 1-866-281-2911 at any time (24 hours/7days a week) if in crisis. They may also contact Lanark Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health at 613-342-2262 during regular business hours Monday to Friday for assistance.
