Liquor Licence Act

On the 30th of October, 2016 at approximately 07:00 a.m. a local cab company contacted police after the driver had picked up an intoxicated female from a south end residence. The female was unable to provide the driver with an address and they therefore attended to the police service for assistance. As a result of the female’s intoxicated state and for her safety she was lodged in cells and released when sober.

 

Theft

On 30th of October, 2016 a local female resident of Brockville was charged with two counts of theft under 5000 dollars after it was alleged that she had taken an acquaintances bank card and used it to make unauthorized purchases. The accused was issued an appearance notice with a future court date.

 

Attempt / Suicide:

On the 30th of October, 2016 police were advised that a local, male Brockville resident had ingested an unknown quantity of medication / pills and left a residence located in the central area of the City. The male subject had made suicidal comments and was eventually taken to hospital by family members. The subject was admitted and to be assessed by local mental health professionals to address any outstanding concerns for his wellbeing.

 

Attempt / Suicide:

On the 30th of October, 2016 a local female resident was apprehended by police under that authority of the mental health act. Police were advised by the original complainant that the female had sent a suicide letter to her mother. Police subsequently contacted her mother and obtained necessary information in order to apprehend and transport the female to the Brockville General Hospital for necessary observation and evaluation.
