Bail violations

September 12, 2021 at 6:34 PM, officers attended an address in the city’s north end to investigate allegations of a breach of a bail condition.  A male was reportedly breaching his conditions by being with a person he was prohibited from communicating with.  Officers located a 44-year-old male in breach of his conditions and he was arrested for that offence.  He was later released from the station with a new court date to answer to the breach charge.

Domestic

September 11, 2021 at around 4:00 AM, officers responded to a north end apartment building for a domestic incident. The officers located a 29-year-old female with a cut to her hand that required medical attention.  She was transported to Brockville General Hospital for treatment. The involved 31-year-old male was arrested at the scene for mischief. As the investigation continued officers developed grounds for the arrest of the female for assault.  She was arrested later that day and charged with assault.  Her injuries were caused from broken glass from their dispute.  The male was not injured from the assault.  Both were released with future court dates.

Refusal

September 11, 2021 at 12:55 PM, officers responded to the Brighton Crescent area for reports of a disturbance.  A vehicle driven by a 31-year-old male was stopped leaving the area.  The investigating officer detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and demanded a breath sample.  The driver refused to provide the sample.  He was charged at the scene for failing to provide a sample.  His vehicle was impounded for 7 days and his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.  He will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.  No charges have been laid as a result of the disturbance.

Public intoxication
