Train vs. Vehicle
On July 19th at 11:35 pm, Brockville Police attended California Avenue in the area of Proctor and Gamble for a vehicle struck at the rail crossing. The crossing is used by the plant and does not include lights or traffic arm barriers.
A local 18 year old woman was operating her vehicle on California Avenue and crossed the tracks, not noticing the moving train. With only artificial light and no warning signals visiblity was not great. The vehicle suffered moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
No injuries were sustained by anyone involved and there are no charges pending.
